FLUOROPOLYMER-SHEET-LINING
We provide application of factory and site based specialist linings to the oil, gas, water, refinery and power industries. Using fabric backed fluoropolymer sheet lining laminate, high temperature adhesives and specifically developed vacuum bonding, these systems are capable of operating at elevated temperatures under vacuum conditions. Since their introduction more than 50 years ago, fluoropolymers have successfully competed with metals and other materials to provide protection against corrosion in chemical processing and other demanding environments.
Fluoropolymer Sheet Lining is applied on a well prepared surface and installed by our qualified crew, using specialized tools and equipment. The surface of the item to be lined is firstly prepared by grit-blasting to SA 2.5 or higher and to the recommended surface roughness. The lining panels are thermoformed where necessary and body panels factory butt welded where practical to minimize hot gas welding operations on site. The lining is then vacuum-bonded and any joints fusion welded, to create a continuous lining. To prove the essential integrity of the lining a specifically developed non-destructive test is carried out, capable of detecting partially fused welds on all welding. This is followed by the standard NDT testing of the complete lining utilizing a high voltage spark test.
